No-Rosion Cooling System Corrosion Inhibitor®

Originally developed for high-end boilers and cooling towers in the field of industrial water treatment, No-Rosion is a powerful, industrial-grade automotive cooling system corrosion inhibitor that stabilizes coolant pH, and protects all six metals most commonly found in cooling systems from corrosion and electrolysis – including aluminum!  It contains oxygen scavengers that chemically remove dissolved oxygen from coolant, which prevents the formation of rust.  It contains polymer dispersants that prevent the formation of gels and deposits that reduce water pump life, and eventually cause overheating.  It also contains nitrite, which prevents wet-sleeve cylinder liner cavitation and erosion in diesel engines.  Adding No-Rosion to broken-down coolant will even neutralize existing acids in the cooling system, allowing continued operation in situations during which immediate flushing is not possible for various reasons. 

Proper use of No-Rosion extends coolant life to five years, saving you time and money.  It reduces the hassles associated with proper disposal of toxic used antifreeze, which also protects the environment.  Coolant can be tested for corrosion and freeze protection using the No-Rosion Coolant Test Packet.

 

 

 

 

What makes No-Rosion the best?

No-Rosion outperforms all other corrosion inhibitors in ASTM laboratory tests.  Since being introduced in 1995, it has been embraced by thousands of the world’s top automobile collectors and museums.  It is used in the cost-effective maintenance routines of hundreds of thousands of fleet vehicles.  No-Rosion is one of the only coolant additives that utilizes molybdate, a form of the semi-precious metal “molybdenum” that functions synergistically with a number of other ingredients in the No-Rosion formula to form molecular-thin surface films that provide unsurpassed corrosion and electrolysis protection.   

Importantly, No-Rosion is also the only corrosion inhibitor that provides 100% corrosion protection in straight water coolant.  This is important for vehicles that operate in warmer climates, and do not require glycol-based antifreeze for freeze protection.   

Not sure whether to use No-Rosion or HyperKühl in your vehicle?  The answer is simple. If you are not experiencing overheating, and require maximum corrosion protection without the need to increase the coolant's capacity to transfer additional heat, then No-Rosion is your product of choice! Also, if you have a vehicle with a low-pressure or zero-pressure cooling system, it is advisable to use No-Rosion as well, because there is a possibility of foaming with HyperKühl, depending on the configuration of the system.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: One pint treats 12-20 quarts.  Systems outside this range, add/subtract 1 ounce per quart.  Straight water requires 50% higher dose.  Using less than 50% antifreeze optimizes system cleanliness and temperature efficiency.  If straight water is used, tap or soft water is recommended.  Do not use distilled water unless mixed with 50% antifreeze.  Add once per year or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first.  After 5th year, drain, clean/prime cooling system with No-Rosion Flush, and refill.  Cooling systems that have been previously neglected, and are fouled or particularly contaminated, should be flushed with No-Rosion Flush prior to treatment.
