No-Rosion Corrosion Inhibitor

No-Rosion
Cooling System Corrosion Inhibitor

WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE A COOLING SYSTEM WHEN THE COOLANT CHEMICALLY BREAKS DOWN?

The primary ingredient in antifreeze, ethylene glycol, chemically breaks down over time to form weak acids which slowly eat away at your vehicle's radiator, heater core, water pump, and coolant passages within the engine block. This process is significantly accelerated in vehicles which are driven irregularly, or stored for periods of time. Unfortunately you won't know this process is taking place until it's too late, and you discover a leak.

Flushing a vehicle's cooling system removes weak acids which lower the pH of coolant and cause corrosion. It also removes gels formed from silicates in antifreeze and hardness in water, which adhere to the hot inner surfaces of a cooling system to form damaging scales and deposits. However, even with regular flushing some corrosion always takes place -- as evidenced by orangish crud often encountered when flushing.

No-Rosion's exclusive formula has previously only been available for high-dollar, industrial applications. Developed and used in the treatment of boiler and cooling tower equipment, No-Rosion now makes state-of-the-art corrosion inhibitor technology available for your car or truck. When added to a cooling system, No-Rosion chemically reacts to:

  1. neutralize existing weak acids,
  2. stabilize coolant pH to prevent further acidic buildup,
  3. chemically remove dissolved oxygen,
  4. prevent silicate and hard water gels and deposits,
  5. prevent corrosion and electrolysis of all 6 metals (including aluminum) found in cooling systems, and
  6. prevent wet-sleeve cylinder liner cavitation and erosion.

Rather than flushing annually or semi-annually as most manufacturers suggest, application of No-Rosion allows flushing to be extended to once every 5 years. This saves time and money, and reduces the hassles involved with proper disposal of toxic used antifreeze. One pint of No-Rosion protects cooling systems of 12 to 22 quarts in capacity for one year in irregularly driven vehicles, or 30,000 miles of use for regularly driven vehicles. No-Rosion is the only coolant additive on the market today that provides 100% corrosion protection in straight-water coolant applications (i.e. without antifreeze). And importantly, No-Rosion's exclusive formula does not contain any petroleum distillates, which can accelerate the antifreeze gelling process, and stimulate the formation of scales and deposits which reduce heat transfer, and eventually cause overheating.
